AI Photogrammetry¶
Starting from Artec Studio 19, two new algorithms have been added to allow users to reconstruct 3D models from sets of photos and videos without a 3D scanner and a photogrammetry kit. Please be aware that projects created by this version might not be compatible with older versions of Artec Studio.
AI Photogrammetry in Artec Studio is divided into two consecutive stages:
Create Preview: positions photosets in 3D space, generating a photo scan as the output.
Create Model: creates a final 3D mesh that can be further processed and textured.
Both these algorithms are available in two types:
Separate Object is intended for a single object that is fully captured within the frame and clearly separated from the background.
Whole Scene is suitable for feature-rich scenes, such as aerial or drone captures, or objects like stones, statues, and architectural structures, where there is no requirement to separate the object from the background.
